My own track

Ski touring

On skis and skins up to the summit

Leave your own tracks in the snow up to the summit. Absolute quiet. Only nature around me. My own way. And then the "summit conquest" - the feeling of having achieved something. A dream!
After a snack on the summit - or in the alpine lodge - with fabulous views you ski down pristine slopes through the powder snow back into the valley - an unforgettable experience.

Lofer and the region are a paradise for ski tourers. Here you’ll find all types of tours with all levels of difficulty from easy tours with gentle climbs and just 45 minutes walking time to challenging day tours up to around 2,500 metres

Beginners, those taking up skiing again or skiers who don’t know how to deep-snow ski, however, don’t have to set off straight into the “wilderness” - the ski areas "Almenwelt Lofer" and "Unken Heutal" also offer the option of trekking along the edge of the piste. You can then enjoy skiing down the piste.

And for those who want to try out at ski touring: Equipment is available for rent in the local sports shops. For your first tour, we recommend joining a guided ski tour, to get familiar with the technique and the rules. But you can also book one of the specially qualified skiing and hiking guides for a private lesson
